PIX V Belts
V-belts are made of
rubber with polyester or aramid cords to transmit mechanical power. V-Belts are
enveloped over the cords, which are meant for transmission of the force from the
driver to the driven pulley, thereby transmit the power. The number and the
type of cords depend upon the power to be transmitted. The rubber layer in the
V-Belt helps transmit the force in the cord to the side layers.
V-Belts are sought to
be a replacement of the gear and chain drive, with minimal losses in
transmission and low maintenance. V-Belts are widely used in Industrial,
Automotive, Agricultural, Lawn & Garden and several other applications,
where they are classified as application-specific V-Belts.
There are two types of PIX
V-Belts available
1.
Wrap construction
V-Belts
2.
Raw Edge Cogged V-Belts
PIX V-Belts are
preferred over the conventional Flat Belt for several reasons-
1.
High power transmission
due to wedging action in the grooved pulley
2.
High-velocity ratios
3.
Compact drive, quiet
running and shock absorbing
4.
Negligible slippage
5.
Trouble-free
performance
6.
Ease of maintenance
